Spartacus is a 125 pound Akita. Most people might find him intimidating, but he has a heart of gold! As a therapy dog registered with Pet Partners (http://petpartners.org), Spartacus has been an important part of the healing process for students from Sandy Hook. Spartacus and his owner Brad Cole were called to the school to help children with the therapy process after the Sandy Hook tragedy. They have become part of the Newtown Kindness and Charlotte’s Litter family. Brad and Spartacus will be at our Therapy/Comfort Dog Walk-a-thon (link to walk-a-thon blog post) on Saturday, October 18th at Sea Bluff Beach in West Haven, CT. So, come join us if you want to meet this incredible Therapy Dog team! In the meantime, check out this video to learn more about Spartacus and his involvement in Sandy Hook.
