Charlotte’s Litter facilitates Therapy/Comfort Dogs at local High School

Newtown Kindness’ Charlotte’s Litter program helped facilitate Therapy/Comfort Dogs (K9 First Responders – K9FR) at Jonathan Law High School back in May. Our ability to connect the Therapy Dogs to the school just hours after the fatal stabbing is a prime example of why our program exists. We advocate and seek to connect Therapy Dog resources and experienced handlers with parents and educators all in an effort to apply therapy dog programs in educational and societal settings.

These heros were honored in July for their participation in the healing process. The night was covered by the New Haven Register and references our own Therapy Dog Advocate, JoAnn Bacon.
